Consulting and builds

About Kaseton Farris
I study Finance at Southern Nazarene University, I compete there as a student-athlete, and I founded and own Farris Capital Equity LLC.
I am also the Student Body President, leading nine leads across six councils. Those three things together tell you most of what you need to know about how I work: I have never had the luxury of doing one thing at a time, so I got good at building systems that hold when I am not looking at them.
Practice does not move because I have a client call. A Monday meeting does not run itself because I am mid-build. Everything I own had to be made to work without me standing over it, and that is the same thing an owner is buying when they hire me.
That is the whole business. I build for owners the thing I had to build for myself.

How I got here
I did not set out to run a consulting firm. I started an e-commerce brand, and then I ran into every problem a small operation runs into. Payments that would not clear. Receipts landing in spam. Tracking numbers copied by hand, one order at a time, at midnight.
Nobody was going to fix those for me, so I learned to build. I wrote the software, wired the payments, and automated the work that was eating the week. The business got quieter and it made more money, and neither of those things happened because I worked harder.
Then other owners started asking how. That is where the firm came from. I am not selling theory I read. I am selling the specific work I had to do to keep my own business alive.
Investing
Alongside the firm I manage an investment portfolio for several members of my family, over $700,000 in assets under management for family members. It is not a side interest and it is not paper trading. It is real capital belonging to people who will be at Christmas dinner either way.
It is also the single best training I have had for this work. Managing somebody else's money teaches you to size a position against what you can afford to be wrong about, to say plainly when you do not know, and to report the bad quarter as clearly as the good one. Those are the same habits a client is paying for when they hand over a budget.
Finance is my major because it is genuinely how I read a business. When we scope a build, I am thinking about payback period and what the manual version is costing you per month, not about how interesting the software would be to write.
Leadership
SALT is student government at Southern Nazarene University, and I lead it. Nine leads report to me across six councils.
Two areas are mine directly. I own Budget and Money Matters, which is how student government spends its money, and I own attendance tracking across the whole team. I run Lead Meetings every Monday and Senate every Tuesday.
Nobody reporting to me is paid. They show up because the work is organised and the meeting is worth their hour, which turns out to be exactly the skill a client is buying: getting a group of people to run a process reliably without anyone standing over them.
The company
An Oklahoma limited liability company that I founded and own. It is a consulting and AI systems agency: we meet a business, find what is costing it time or money, and build a custom system to fix it.
Two things sit alongside the consulting work and both of them make it better. We build and still operate our own software, which is where a lot of what we know about payments and compliance came from. And we run our own e-commerce brand end to end, so the systems we sell are ones we already depend on with our own money.
Diagnosis first, then a system built for one company's specific problem. Marketing and CRM, websites and e-commerce, custom software and AI automation, payments and compliance.
Compliance and payments software used by over 25 merchant storefronts, including the engine that keeps each store's card processing switched on. We built it, and we still run it.
Suppliers, inventory, fulfilment, affiliates and customer support. It is where we prove that the systems hold up when the money at risk is ours.
I take the call, I do the diagnosis and I build the system. You are not handed to an account manager, and there is nobody between you and the person doing the work.
How I work
These are not values on a wall. They are the reasons a project either gets taken or turned down.
The scope and the price go in writing before anything is built. If the number goes up, you hear it from me before the work happens, not on the invoice.
There is work that is outside what I am good at. Taking it anyway would pay once and cost the relationship permanently.
You own every account, every credential and every line of the system. Nothing I build holds a client hostage to keep me employed.
I run businesses where a wasted thousand dollars is my thousand dollars, and I manage capital that belongs to my family. That is the standard I apply to a client's budget.
Faith
Southern Nazarene University is a Christian university, and faith is part of why I chose it. It is not decoration on this page. It is the reason the rules above are rules and not preferences.
In practice it looks ordinary. It means telling an owner the real number, including the times the honest answer is that they do not need to hire me. It means the people who trust me with their operation get the same care I give my own. It means leadership is service, which is a thing you learn quickly when nine people volunteer to follow you and none of them have to.
I would rather lose a project than oversell one. That is not a marketing position. It is what I was raised on, and I am young enough that it still gets tested regularly.
Elsewhere
The same person on both. If you want to see how I think before you book a call, start there, or read the full resume.
Next step
You will not be handed to someone else. I take the call, I do the diagnosis, and I build the system.
